You will find similar problem with SmarterMail. If you try to use any of the buttons in an opened message (ex. reply, forward), nothing happens.

Yes I do have a uuid. I use this to save to all the tables at the completion of the pages. This way the uuid serves as a key so that each applicant has a unique identifier therefore and not relying on ...

Thats a good idea, but Flash forms are out of the question because the number of form fields are hugh (20-50+ per page).
wouldn't it just be easier to use a tabbed flash form?
