I'm having what seems like a simple problem, but I haven't found the solution.
I'm starting an e-mail newsletter for my non-profit. I, as moderator, want to be the only one who can post to it. I marked my username as moderator, but it still won't let me post unless "list." is in front of the domain name on the from e-mail address. Example: Let's say my e-mail is steve@non-profit.org I mark username "steve" as moderator of my list called "newsletter". Sending an e-mail from steve@non-profit.org to newsletter@list.non-profit.org is bounced saying I don't have permission to post to this list. But if I change my from address to steve@list.non-profit.org, it accepts the message and relays it. steve@list.non-profit.org is a non-existant address so I don't want that showing on the e-mail anywhere. And I don't want to have to manually change my from address in Outlook, and then change it back, each time I post something. I've added steve@non-profit.org to the posters whitelist, but that didn't solve it. BTW, I'm using SmarterMail Enterprise 4.3 Thanks for your help, Steve |

Hello,
If you add the user to the poster whitelist, and enable the poster whitelist from the List options, it should work, If you do use the poster whitelist I would recommend also putting in a password on the list that way someone cant set the from address to be yours and send out to the list. Let met know if you have any problems. -Ray |
