For the first time since its deployment, ModBot/HMSBot has deleted two legitimate posts. In this post, I would like to restore the deleted posts, and explain what happened:

The respective URL's are
http://media.drvthru.com/podcasts/QuickTip_Thank_Your_Web_Host.mp3 and http://media.drvthru.com/podcasts/01_Domain_Name_and_Internet_Scams.mp3

To be honest, no one was at fault. This was not a bug in ModBot, but unfortunately these posts passed ModBot's link spam test due to the linking to audio content from multiple providers. While these posts were quality posts, ModBot had good reason to assume they were spam, as 66% and 72% respectively of the space of the posts was occupied by links. A user with three posts such as DriveThru is allowed up to 42% of his post to be links. Unfortunately, changing this would allow more spam to get through, much greater than the very small number of posts affected. DriveThru was not aware of ModBot, and was not at fault, and I apologize to him for the deletion of posts. This is a single blot in HMSBot's record; 99.9% of the time, ModBot's formula works. The good thing, is that archives are kept of the forum for four hours, giving the necessary restore window. Furthermore, a restore system is being setup over PM, where you can private message liason, and he will automatically restore your post provided that you answer the generated trivia question (captcha), and are in good standing with the forum. Good standing means that you have enough posts, joined more than a few days ago, or some other factors.
