I am thinking of purchasing the Mivi Ecommerce package (27.95 month + 15.00 for Mivi Storefront). What is the difference between the .NET Builder+ and the CF Builder+. I know nothing of web design, so I need a package thats easy to use. I purchased X-Cart last year and found that it is too complicated for me to figure out. I wasted money on a year of hosting and the cost of software, and would like to avoid another purchase like that. I have been in the retail business since 1995 and have no time to learn webdesign. Any comments on this package as far as ease of use is appreciated. Maybe someone has a suggestion to other packages that are easy to learn, if this one is not. Thanks for any information

Hello Donnie,

The difference between CF Builder Plus and .Net Builder Plus is one supports Microsoft .Net and the other Macromedia Coldfusion. If neither of those are required for your site then you can most likely go with a different plan.

As for Miva we have a lot of customers who are beginners to the web and e-commerce and have great success with it. Additionally it integrates with a wide variety of payment and shipping gateways to help automate order processing.

I suggest running through the demo of the Miva Merchant admin interface to see what its like. You can find it here:

You use the backend to add products, process orders, etc. Miva also has a number of third party modules available that you can purchase which will extend its functionality. You can see some of them here:

In regards to the plan type, you don't need the .NET Builder or CF Builder unless your site specifically uses ASP.NET or ColdFusion. If you don't use them, a Foundation plan w/ Miva would save you some money.

If you do decide to go with a Miva hosting plan, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee, so if its not for you there's nothing to loose!

Thanks, for the information. I will check out the foundation plan and see what it has to offer. I will no doubt be back to ask more questions. Thanks again.
