Is there one? I mean the amount of lines and(or) text in the filter itself.

Sometimes if my filters get too big they don't seem to work as consistently.

Not that I've seen - but I'm still working on that ticket you have in regarding your filters. Wink
I am seeing more examples

of the filters not working. I can show you. When you get time contact me.

I am currently trying out splitting them up into smaller amounts of criteria to see if that makes a differnece.

I will let you know what happens.

Hi Jeff,

If you send an email to support@hostmysite.com with the details we'll check the server logs for you to see what's going on. Try to include some dates and aproximate times along with the sender's address of a few messages that you think should have been caught by the filters so we have something to look at.

One thing to note is that once one filter is hit, it won't be processed by the others. It's possible that the emails you expect to be processed by your filter3, for example, are being caught by filter2. Hope that helps make some sense. Take a look at the sticky thread above from jamie about the order of operations for Smartermail too, which explains the process in better detail.

Well splitting the rule to make it smaller didn't make a differnece.

JStedman,

I do know about the way the filters come into play and the order of processing. The rule that is affecting the messages is below the rule that I want to affect them. I was asked by Steve Spence top send some examples which I have done today. I sent them to support@hostmysite with #T2574481 and ATT Steve Spence in the subject line. Dates, times, addresses, and headers are all included if you want to take a look. By the way this IS a constant thing that I can duplicate, it is not just once in a while.

Thanks, Jeff
