Y IPv5 is not in use

after the establishment of IPv4 there is IPv6 but y not IPv5 ?is the any series in the IP versions like IP4 ,IP6 and so on i think after this there will be IPv 8 accourding to my idea.

Actually, IPV8 has already been assigned and is in developement currently, throughout Australia and the AsiaPac Region. This was actually annouced some time in June 1998.
