Hi - I am a newbie learning ASP.NET 2.0. I have been creating simple pages linking controls with database tables (SQL Express). The pages work fine within Visual Web Developer, but I am having trouble exporting to hostmysite.com.
I have been simply FTP'ing files across including the database files into the APP_Data folder. When the page loads on hostmysite.com I get a sql timeout error. Question: can you simply FTP files across or do I need to somehow separately set the database up? Sorry for such a simple post - thoughts? |

I'm having the same problem. So far, I haven't found a lot of information about it...

Hi - feedback from hostmysite.com:
Hello, At the moment, the Beta does not include SQL Express. Also, you should be able to copy access databases to the App_data directory with no problem, and a SQL 2000 database would be created with the account automatically. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Thanks, and have a great day! Regards, Ben Raab-Long http://www.HostMySite.com |
