Should Hostmysite have a Podcast/Online Radio Show

Today I experienced my first Podcast and I have to say this is pretty slick stuff. It got me to thinking, wouldn't it be cool for Hostmysite to do either a podcast or online radio show. You could have content on whats going on in the company, preview of new products and tips and tricks for our existing products. Plus for all you Coldfusion developers we could even get into talking about Coldfusion as well. So vote in the poll and give me your thoughts on this idea. Thanks!

My kneejerk response was to vote yes. Now that I've found out what it is, I'm still inclined to say yes Smile

this could be cool, though it would take time to do it if it was going to change on a frequent basis. But, not a bad idea, especially combined with RSS.

How much content could a web host possibly provide on a radio broadcast?

Depends on the content and the audience they are looking for. I haven't checked the length of some podcast out there, but they aren't that long are they? We all learn something new each day so I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to do something bi-weekly or even weekly.

I have a super big ego so I think I would enjoy that, especially if I were featured in a 'cast. Smile

I thought about doing monthly CEO updates delivered from a format like that, or maybe something live throuh Macromedia Breeze. I'd like to make it interactive with our customers if possible.

I can vouch for that. Lou doesn't actually own the company anymore - there was a violent takeover and now the CEO position is actually held by his ego, which we have named Bob.

Now if HMS were a publicly traded company - a monthly investor report via an online radio broadcast would be very nice.
I personally would rather see a monthly article or a HMS developer blog than a radio broadcast...don't know why...less plugins to download that way I guess - ha!
