Hi,
I'm working on a php / mysql site and would like to set this all up on my development server before putting it up at HMS. I've downloaded the windows versions of these and would like some input from others that have done this so I can get an idea of what to look for, what not to do, etc. I'm also downloading apache so this will be a server environment for development and testing.

One thing to note, we currently do not support php and mysql on our shared windows servers. We do however support both on our shared linux servers.

The site is on a linux server with HMS. I needed to try windows for the test environment since I can't seem to connect to the database at HMS with dreamweaver. The database is listed but tables shows none. Using the same settings with MySQL control center, I am able to connect to the database without a problem. It would be helpful to be able to see everything with dreamweaver also.

webweaver6 - We've actually been helping a few customers with Dreamweaver/MySQL recently. If you're still having trouble, please give us a call and we should be able to walk you through the process.

From my own experience, I got php and mysql installed on my Windows machine and seemed having no problem running them. One thing to notice though is that when you install mysql, it installs a service and for some reason, if you don't have full admin rights on the machine and it's very easily getting into problems.
