Once a domain name has expired, if it is registered through a company other than HostMySite.com, you cannot transfer the domain to our services. In order to do so, the domain must be renewed first with it's current registrar.

Domain Expiration Timeline:

Soon after it's expiration date (listed by a WhoIs Lookup) a domain goes into REGISTRAR-HOLD status, which means it no longer resolves to your website. This status will be kept for 30 days unless the domain is renewed with it's registrar. After 30 days, the domain enters a REDEMPTION PERIOD status, which means it can still be renewed by the owner, however it will cost an exhorbitant rate (our current charges from TuCows equal $88 to bring a domain back from REDEMPTION).
