Is there a way to directly connect Miva Merchant and QuickBooks?

If not, how have people dealt with tracking invoices and order from MM and adding them to QuickBooks?

Thanks in advance!

Tracy,

Miva merchant comes with an Quickbooks export module that you can use to export the data to a file and import it using Quickbooks. There is no charge for this. Cool

Also, Miva has a product called Miva Synchro, which allows you to easily synchronize your data in Miva Merchant using Quickbooks. This program can be purchased for $399 and installed on your local machine.

While the export tool is nice, the live synchroization that Miva Synchro provides is pretty solid, from the reviews that I have read through. You can read more about the Synchro product that Miva put together at http://www.miva.com/products/synchro/ .

Hi - I'm looking at HostMySite and Miva for a new client - was doing a search and saw your post where you said:

Could you describe this process to me? they want to be able to use quickbooks with their store, and I need an idea of how this would work - thanks, megan

Within the Miva Admin, under the settings for the Store there is an option called Utilities. Once of the options in Utilities is Export Data. One of the options in Export Data is Quickbooks Export. You are given the options to specify a file name, the orders you wish to export and the customer information you wish to export. This creates a file that can then be imported into Quickbooks. The file is exported to the MivaData folder on the server which you can access through FTP to download the file.

The following is a link from Miva's online help documentation that goes into a bit more details about the process http://www.miva.com/docs/merc_4.x_help/quickbks.html

I hope this answers your questions.
