As many of you probably have seen, Blackstone was officially renamed Coldfusion MX 7 and was announced for distribution today.

While their press release states it is available today, currently Macromedia is not quite ready to make CFMX 7 available, whether it be the upgrade codes or the full install copies. We are anticipating it within the next week. Two important facts to note:

1) Customers can still signup for a Blackstone beta account at http://www.hostmysite.com/blackstone , which we are still offering.

2) The moment we have received the required information for CFMX 7 and have testing it's functionality for stability and security within our environment, we will be offering CFMX 7.

3) We are in constant contact with Macromedia about the availability of the product. We anticipate that this will be within 1-2 weeks, which is when Macromedia is stating it will be first available.

There was a good deal of confusion over this. Macromedia said it was released, but didn't have any release copies, then other hosts managed to get release copies, etc, etc.

We worked through it though, and we now offer Blackstone on our production machines. Contact HMS to get setup on a Blackstone / CFMX 7.0 server if you haven't already!
