I've recently noticed there are updates available for FrontPage 2002, but I haven't done that yet. Since I am happy with mine, and know it, I have been hesitant. I thought I should ask others who have updated for their opinions. Only occassionly does mine not respond to load a page, but Xing it out never hurts anything and loads the next time... it seems quite forgiving and I've never lost data.

Just something of interest for you FrontPagers (like me).

I didn't know FrontPage had the following option and I know others didn't either... because I, like others, were trying to use Notepad to get around FrontPage altering the html code.

Frontpage 2002
Microsoft’s latest version of FrontPage is available for testing (download off the shared NT X drive at \\winsan1\pub\Applications\Supported\FrontPage2002). Although designed to run with Office XP, it runs equally well with Office 2000 under either the NT or Windows 2000 operating systems. I’ve been using the program for several months and have been very please with the new features, such as:
• Under Tools – Page Options – HTML Source you can choose to preserve existing or selectively reformat your html code. If you preserve formatting, FrontPage will no longer “fix” anything for you – especially any scripts you may have placed in the page. The down side is that if you hand code, you can now write invalid code. The good side is that you can, for example, have FrontPage reformat your code to comply with the more rigorous XML specifications.
• When you copy and paste from another Office product you now have a choice of keeping the formatting of the original document or pasting in plain text. In the past to eliminate formatting I would copy, for example, from Word to Notepad and then into FrontPage. This feature is enabled under Tools – Page Options – General – and toggle the "Show Paste Options Buttons" check box.

I know users who still prefer FrontPage 98 and 2000 over 2k2 and 2k3. If it serves your needs, then why upgrade? The only issue I might state to anticipate is that FrontPage server extensions advance with the latest release. Although it seems like Microsoft builds on their previous extensions, a feature may no longer work with a newer release.
