Just to be clear, is it HostMySite's position that it can capriciously alter the rules and entry times of the contest at any time and for any reason? What do the rules of the contest represent to HostMySite, if not a written promise describing how the contest will be conducted?
Three weeks from now could you change the contest to have an end date of May 30th and be for iPhone applications too? If not, why not? Why should someone attempt to follow the rules if they can be changed on a whim?

After discussions with the Code Project -official sponsor of the WFS contest- we were collectively concerned over the lack of entries last week. The goal of the contest was to hatch an amazing application to showcase the fun, speed and computing power of the drag bike. The community feedback was that we would have better results with more time and platform liberty… so the Code Project and HostMySite responded.
Rest assured that the rules and timeframe will not change again. We want to have something up and running by race season starting in May. We are deeply sorry that we disappointed you with this decision, and hope that it does not discourage you from participating in the contest. We would love nothing more than to have the Code Project /World’s Fastest Server Challenge winner be an existing HMS customer.

Tom,
Thanks for the reply. I have a secondary question, which is there doesn't seem to be a lot of data currently available(i.e. waypoints of the bike driving down a real road). Is this an error on my end, or are there longer trips planned for the future?

I'll have to check with some of the guys on the bike team but I know we did have a problem with getting the GPS on the bike working when it is inside the trailer we transport it in. When we are racing it outdoors the GPS should work properly.
