CFIMAGE Issue: Cannot Write Images

Hi, a month ago my CFIMAGE tags stopped working and the crew was working around the clock to get the issue figured out. There were a few hot patches applied and all was well.

June 2: All is well
June 3: CFIMAGE errors (cannot write to directory, make sure it exists, blah, blah, blah)
June 4: All is well (processed over 300 images)
June 5: CFIMAGE errors
Present: CFIMAGE errors

Anyone else experiencing this? Its as if the server I'm on is applying and unapplying the patch (which of course makes no sense). Its inconsistent on the photos (some work, most do not), but all instances of CFIMAGE are failing.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

I'm experiencing the same problems. With some testing I found that if you use Photoshop's "Save for web and other devices" the jpg works fine with cfimage. However if I use Photoshop's "Save as JPG" or Microsoft Photo editor to save the image then cfimage gives me an error. Can you try this and see if this is consistent with your experience?

Do you know if this hotfix patch was applied? I am hoping this fixes the problem.

Hi.

As of yesterday I was back in business. What I was told is that the hot patch overwrote the cumulative patch (or vice versa) essentially undoing the fix from Adobe.

I was having a similar issue in that all of the test photos the engineers were working seem to process just fine, but all of mine from Apple's Aperture or iPhoto would crash. Strange indeed...

Anyway, it seems to be working as of today. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Best,
