The most recent VPS I got is quite beefy. When you goto task manager you see 8 cores doing their thing. With all this power, has anyone dediced to run Folding at home on their VPS? Does HMS runs any such programs on spare servers to help out the research community? Folding at home even runs on a PS3, checkout my http://blog.whitesites.com for details

Abosolutely do not do this! Remember you're living with others on the machine and you're sharing resources. A program like folding@home might have unexcepted or negative effects on your own or other's VPS. Virtuozzo allows for unused resources to be applied to VPS's that are in need on the fly - using a program like folding@home could tie these resources up and slow everyone down.

Don't worry it was only a question. I wouldn't think of hosting F@H on my VPS.
