slow load time

The reason your site is performing more slowly is OpenUI itself. It has to run its scripts before generating the page's code for your browser. I would suggest upgrading to Miva 5. It doesn't cost anything extra.

The reason your site is slow is NOT because of OpenUI. It is because of Earthlink. If simply installing OpenUI makes your store slow, than you need a new host.
