Having an issue on a client's site hosted here. Just began hosting this client a couple weeks ago but i have a bunch of other domains hosted here. I have been hosting sites here for @5 years or so.
There is a contact form with 3 fields. Form works locally (and is a form i use for many clients). Recently (11/30/2007) noticed that sometimes we get a failure on PHP mail() in hosted environment for this client. I entered the word "test" into each of the 3 fields and i got our custom failure page. 10 minutes later i try again, exact same info, and it succeeds.
i have not been able to replicate the failure since. HMS techs have not been able to replicate, but client has gotten a failure as well and is now very concerned since it is ecommerce. The failure is only triggered when mail() fails, in other words any custom PHP spam checking on the form would produce other results, so I am confident this is not a code issue - i use this form all the time.
Also, earlier today client sent another test and the email did not come through for 8 hours.
Does anyone have advice on this issue?
