Does anyone know of any modules available for Miva to manage subscription based recurring billing/payment with Visa credit cards?

This is not something a module can (or should) handle. You need to contact your gateway/processor and see if they have an option to do recurring billing...most big ones do. Then, just charge for the first period in using Merchant, afterwards you would use the gateway/processor Virtual Terminal to add a recurring charge.

I just found a product called Billing Orchard that does recurring billing (or subscription billing) pretty easy. It has an API, but also something checkout pages which are easy to setup and use.
