Importing a DB to HMS from another Host

I have an MS SQL db with another host that I would like to bring over to my VPS account with HMS. Could someone explain the best way to do this.

Would it be to backup the old database and then restore it? Thanks.

ile and restore it

A backup would indeed be the best way. Take the .bak file and restore it on the vps
