Does anybody know an easy way to convert a MySQL database into an Access database?

I have a blog, that does not work using MySQL anymore here, but it does work with Access (strange I know).

I tried to export the MySQL tables into .csv files, then to import into Access, but that gave some errors.

Basically I am trying to get my old blog entries into the new blog with Access.

If this is easier using MS SQL that I could go that way too(as I have that on HMS), however since I use the Mac I have no way of using MS SQL,and so I have stayed away. I do have a machine at school which as access on it though.

Thanks,
John

John,
you may want to consider SQLite. Although it is like access in that it is file-based, the interface is just like MySQL, and it does not have Access' performance limitations. There is probably a utility to convert MySQL to SQLite although I do know if it. SQLite is very popular, and many projects are based around it, so it won't be hard to find an answer Smile.

We have a support article on converting Access to MySQL.

Using the MySQL Migration Toolkit you should be able to accomplish the reverse effect.

Hi,
So sorry about the late reply, I had to re set my password to the forms.
Thanks so much about the advice, and I will be trying the advice about the MySQL migration toolkit tomorrow morning when I go to school, as there I have access to a windows machine.

Thanks again to both replies, and I will let you know how things go:)

Go to the Intelligent Converters site. They have tools for moving almost any databases. We use their tools often and they actually work Smile
