I have friend/client who has a domain name registered with someone else and already has hosting space but it's a non-windows server. He wants me to redesign his site and I suggested having it hosted by hostmysite. Could I simply have this domain name point to a hostmysite domain, or do I HAVE TO transfer the registration?

You can keep the domain name registered where it is and just repoint the nameservers to hostmysite's. Our nameservers and their IP addresses are listed at http://www.hostmysite.com/support/info/domain-transfer/

OK, that's what I thought. So all I have to do is have the current contact notify the registrar that the new name servers are going to be...

Primary
ns1.lnhi.net
(209.41.184.100)

Secondary:
ns2.lnhi.net
(209.41.170.99)

Tertiary:
ns3.lnhi.net
(65.36.160.1Cool

Easy enough.
Thanks.

If you have any problems with this, you can simply email the login/password + registrar information to domains@hostmysite.com and we will take care of it for you.
