For anyone here located in Delaware or the surrounding areas I am very excited to report that this Saturday October 16, 2004 a new Apple Store will be opening in the Christiana Mall! From what I've heard they are going to have all sorts of prizes and special give aways for the first customers. Everyone get your sleeping bags!

I'm pretty happy about the Apple stores poping up around here. I'm a Windows/Linux gal myself but I've been thinking about getting myself a new IMac G5 for Xmas. Plus OSX, is a stable OS, more so than Windows. Great for graphics and editing.

Seriously, Apples hardware prices have come down ALOT in the last 2 years, and it's about time. The one thing that kept apple from becoming a household name (like PC ) was the cost, and I know ALOT of people that are getting Mac's now that they're cheaper. |

You are right the prices have come WAY down. I think next year should be pretty interesting to see how Apple comes out. The biggest innovations you'll see are going to be of course Tiger (the next Apple OS) along with what will be the G5 based notebooks. Although I don't think we'll see these until at at least June. Also if you've noticed they've now cornered the creative arts area very well (Final Cut & Logic). Now for graphic editing do you think they are going to try and directly compete with Photoshop next or just push Photoshop using their new COREImage system to come with Tiger? Plus I think it would pretty sweet to see them enter the broadband video market...maybe some partnership with Netflix to watch streaming movies OR even better have them come out with an IPOD Successor that will also have room for watching movies on the go..... |

Prices down a lot in the last two years? Hah! I remember the 9600s that were $4000+. No one else had a 350MHz system in 1997 though!
