I've seen that before. Haven't done anything with it though. Seems interesting enough. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet just to say I did... someday. Wink

I've tried to optimise the queries using the features noted above and I have to admit .net still wins. It's all in the namespace Exclamation I can't take the chance on using the .net version of cf.

thanks

shouldn't have to rely on "tricks" tho, it should be easy enough to do right the first time Wink

You hit the nail on the head tho... as long as you get from A to B it doesn't really matter how you get there, does it?

well that goes both ways josh, sometimes the tricks u can do with something are what make it special!
and say certain things cant & shouldnt be just "done" the first time, it should be a basic functionality that u can manipulate to do what u need to do.
for example, u could say that crquery should always use cfqueryparam in it, makes it faster, safer & more secure, so u'd think it should just be there so u dont have to spend the extra time doing it. But there are a lot of cases where u wouldnt want it there and if it was built in u'd be screwed. know what i mean?
