I would like to set my SmarterMail domains to http://mail.domainname.com rather than http://domainname.com:9998 as indicated here...
http://www.hostmysite.com/support/vps/windows/stiis/ These instructions show how to set a single domain, but I have a couple dozen sites. How would I do this for multiple domains so that each will use their own http://mail.domainname.com for SM access? |

If you're using an exclusive IP, there's nothing you have to do. Any site pointing to that IP will pull up the sm login.
If you're using a shared IP, you'll have to add a host header for the new address(es) you want to be able to access. A good walkthrough would be here: http://www.visualwin.com/host-header/ |

I am using this VPS as a mail server only and hosting the websites on a dedicated server, so the VPS has a single IP address that all domains will share.
So, I would just set it up for each domain and give them unique descriptions rather than using smartermail? |

Stop the SmarterMail web service, add the site in IIS, then setup host headers for all the domains as described in the link above.
If you need help setting up the site in IIS, call or chat in to support and they'll walk you through it. |
