I have added an additional ftp user to my site and access via my FTP client is fine, but I don't understand how to access the directory using a web browser because the user directory is in the root -- before htdocs. What am I doing wrong?

So you are trying to view the user's files that are above the htdocs on the website?

It's going to need to be in htdocs to show up on the site, you can try creating a mapping under htdocs to access the directory above htdocs to see if that works though.

Actually, I got past this problem. When I created my FTP user via the control panel, I could not find a way to designate a directory inside of 'htdocs' so I thought I could only create usres at the root level outside 'htdocs'.

I finally noticed the 'browse' link. Like I said... feeling stoopid Rolling Eyes
