I am having a strange problem with email. I have 7 PCs on my LAN and email is not working properly on 3 of them. The error I get is...
Why would this only occur on 3 our of 7 computers on the same network? |

I can't say why exactly, but the reason is basically that those three servers are blocking connections on port 110 for some reason. Are they running any firewall software?

I just moved this site from another host and have been having email issues since. In addition to this problem, I cannot access mail.catchlight.com. Otherwise, the site is working fine with HMS.
If I flush DNS it corrects both email problems. But, the problems resurface within an hour or so. |

If flushing your DNS fixes it, then it reverts back, there's likely something wrong with the caching of the workstations.

Yes, probably something with the local machine, maybe you can try using the mailXX.safesecureweb.com address for the mail server? This will guarantee that it resolves to the HostMySite server. (The XX should be 2 numbers, usually you can reference the setup email for it or just contact support)
Or maybe when the problem occurs, try running a ping test or a tracert to mail.catchlight.com to see where it's going. |

Nah, turned out to just be a delay in propagation. Thanks anyway.
