In case someone searches the forum to find an answer to the question, How do I change my MySQL database user password, the answer is:

Once created, HostMySite must be contacted to change your MySQL database user password.

Too bad, but good thing HMS support is so approachable and incredible.

Yes, unfortunately we do not allow such level of access to our shared database servers. These requests should be speedy however.
