Can't get ASP.Net on local machine to work

Evil or Very Mad Hello, I can't get my ASP.NET application on my local machine (developer's environment) to work. I am using IIS 5.01 and get the dreaded "Server Application Unavailable ". I have tried to create an account called ASPUSER and set permissions (Microsoft's Solution). Oddly enough. the ASPNET user account was never created. Anyone have any suggestions? I think my .NET Framework has been corrupted. Oh Yeah, I did try the DOTNETFX.exe solution. Even tried to rebuild asp.net, but nothing seems to work. Please Help! Very fustrating.

For other people having a problem with the .NET framework especially with the .NET installation I found this article that helped me on MS site.

It invovles registering a dll and reinstalling ASP.NET.

most of the time, all you need to do is run:

Code:
C:\Windows(WINNT)\Microsoft.Net\Framework\Framework_version\aspnet_regiis.exe -i


and then give a reboot. Wink
