Has any one here installed the Miva Module named PowerSearch ?

We are looking at it and I see where the mod uses a 'mirror database' of the products. Since the Miva add-on to a site does not provide direct access to the MySQL database I am wondering if this is a problem. I assume the mod will install / build a new database table.

You can install this on the HostMySite Miva Merchant add on without having access to the direct database to my knowledge. I have seen other customers in the shared environment use this with good results. If you do have problems, contact the HostMySite.com support team and they shoudl be able to assist you.

Just as a follow up. I installed the Miva Module PowerSearch like any other mod and it works just fine. Adds functionality to basic Miva search functions.
