I have a form on my website that can be submitted with a submit button. I had no problems for two years and then all of sudden the button does not work any more. The error message is as in the Subject line above (***=path).
Can anyone tell me what a cfm file is and where to start with my problem? Thanks! Greg. |

Anything with the extention .cfm .cfc .cfml is all ColdFusion.
If you post a url to the form where you are getting the error, I can take a look at the source code to see why you might be experiencing the problem. |

Greg, The message you are getting: /GregJames/work_skills_form_send.cfm It looks like the file that the form submits to is missing or not linked correctly. Look in your web directory for a file called "work_skills_form_send.cfm" If it is just improperly linked, you can easily re link it. However, if the file is missing, you will need to recreate it from scratch. If you find it, I'll tell you how to re link it. If you don't find it, then you'll have another issue. EDIT: Actually, I just relized the file isn't even on your domain. the form is pointing to the domain :http://www.shared-visions.com/GregJames/work_skills_form_send.cfm In that case, unless you own the domain name, you won't be able to look for it on that site. However, there might be a chance it is in your web directory. Take a look there first. |
