I Have my Rails app with a link as:
ln -s beast2/public/ htdocs how, where, should I run PHP code? I tried /public but it gives me 500 error. For instance, I have phpBB3 I am trying to run, I put the files inside a dir called /forums, now i tried to put the /forums dir in /htdocs with no link for the rails app, but I still get 500 error. Sorry...I know this is confusing sounding, anyone have any luck with this? |

Have you checked the error log? A 500 error should write to it and give some concrete info on the issue so you can start troubleshooting. In our shared environment it should be in your logs/ folder. If you are on a VPS or dedicated and can't find it drop support a line and we can help.

I contacted the HostMySite tech people and they fixed the problem, I think it had to do with my .htaccess file.
