Is LiveCycle Data Services enabled in shared hosting accounts?

Although LiveCycle Data Services (known on the forum as Flex Data Services) is enabled on all Coldfusion shared servers, you may need to have support set it up for you.

Just got back from AdobeMax and now I know a lot about this! The LiveCycle version included in CF8 Enterprise (what our shared servers run) is something like a trial version, and won't work well for long. IN order to use it fully and permanently you'd need to get a dedicated server and license it yourself - we actually don't have any licensing for this software at all.
In VPS and dedicated we provide CF8 STANDARD, which doesn't have Live Cycle attached at all, I believe (though we can provide the Enterprise Version on Dedicated - it's much more expensive however) |
