Okay, I'm either very close or very, very far away.
This is, I think, the first CF8 RDS HMS has set up. I'm confused about what is happening. First of all, when I set up the site in Manage Sites and select and configure RDS, I can upload files to the server (although when I switch to remote or testing server, it doesn't actually show the files, just the root folder). But when I go to set Application>Database, at step 4 (RDS login) I get the following error: "The server name or address could not be resolved. Possible reasons: 1. the url for the testing server may be incorrect for: [ip address] , 2. The testing server may be incorrectly configured (cf not running). " CF is running on the server. So it connects for some things, but it doesn't connect for others. Any ideas? I want to be sure I'm not screwing up on my end before I ask HMS for more help. Rick |

DO your remote directories and testing server directories match?
Furthermore, does the URL for the remote server and testing server match? |

Yes.
Yes...and No. I have 3 host headers tied to one IP address in IIS. I've tried several different configurations and combinations trying to get it all to work. so I could have a combination of three www.whatever.com as well one [ip address]. Baffling... Rick |
