Just in case you haven't been paying attention, ColdFusion Scorpio was released by Adobe on July 30th! I've already installed it, have started going through the docs and playing with code. For those who use Eclipse, Adobe has released plugins for ColdFusion.

There was a CF8 BETA. It expires in 17 days. After that it is on all new CF Builder shared accounts. It will be added to existing shared accounts within the next 60 days. As an answer to the poll: never. Ruby on Rails gives any CF version a run for its money.
