I am trying to teach myself my sql so please would you like to tell me what should i install to work in my sql database.

Are you looking for any tool or something specific like a web based administration or a program you install? I would say the easiest tool to start with is PHPMyAdmin which the control panel has already. You can find a link here:

Other tools to consider are MyManager and SQL YOG.

Both have free versions. If you use MySQL in production the commercial versions would be better.
