I have a friend that is starting an online business and has his Merchant Account with a bank that uses ViaKlixx (Nova Systems) as the payment gateway. I have many clients hosted with hostmysite.com and would like to use them for this implementation; however, ViaKlixx is not listed as a supported payment gateway for Miva merchant. I was looking at OS Commerce as an alternative to Miva. Has any one implemented OS Commerce as their shopping cart on hostmysite servers and is it as user-friendly as claimed...and, if a gateway is not listed as a supported gateway for MIVA merchant, how difficult is it to map the Miva captured data to a format specified by a non-supported payment gateway? I have assisted in implementing OSCommerce the last 3 years. I find it user friendly, search engine friendly and best of all there are many contribution/modules to expand on basic OScommerce. An example of a OScommerce implementation is www.youravonstore.com . We mainly use authorize.net as a gateway provided by Cpanel Merchant to accept credit cards.
