We still have our main site at the previous host and are having trouble moving it to our new server. We've ftp'd it and nothing works.

Has any one done this, we could use some advice on the best method.

Define "doesn't work" What error are you getting? Are you getting a 404 not found? Database errors, etc?

All links return a 500 error.

I have just deleted the files I moved using ftp and I'm looking at the import/export in Dreamweaver but the ftp connection, within dreamweaver, to the old isp fails before a file list is ever sent. Not your problem I know. So it looks like the import/export in dreamweaver will not work.

What I was hoping was to see if anyone had moved a dreamweaver site and had any tips that could get this going. Just moving the files didn't work and I have no experience with dreamweaver at all.

I'm guessing your site utilizes an .htaccess file?

If so you'll need to contact support to have the necessary configuration adjustments for this to work properly.
