I'm successfully running MediaWiki on my Linux/CF account, but when I try to add a PHP calendar plug-in, I get a server error related to PHP memory. I wouldn't think that adding pages to a wiki would be super memory intensive, so I wonder if the limit is too low. How do I find out more and a solution?

I did just a tiny bit of digging and found out that MediaWiki is a resource hog. Then I started looking for another solution.
Being familiar (and loving) ExpressionEngine by pMachine, I installed it and the integral forum. I used the forum for about 30 seconds when it threw the first error:

Hello btw-nc
PHP memory is limited to 8 MB by default on shared hosting servers.. how many MB max of php memory you need and email support. They probably change it in your configuration.. |
