I have an SSL certificate and was wondering how would I go about making it so that the site is always accessed via https?
What I mean is that even if someone types http://www.domain.com or www.domain.com they would always go to https://www.domain.com |

You can do this via a redirect script in CF or ASP that checks to see if the page is accessed via HTTP or HTTPS, or if you want to be a little simpler about it and are on a Windows server just email support and let them know you want your site set to "ALWAYS USE HTTPS", which is an IIS setting that does the redirection for you. There may be an equivalent Linux setting but if so I'm not familiar with it.

I'm on a Linux Builder plan. I believe my previous Linux host did it using htacces, but I don't know how.

Yes, it would make sense that the .htaccess would work for that. Send an email to support@hostmysite.com and a more linux savvy tech should be able to assist you with that.

This page has some of the htaccess rules you can use to force use of SSL on the site.
