I was going to pre-order Windows Vista Ultimate Edition from Amazon, (For $379 Shocked ) but I had heard from someone that you can install it on up to 3 personal computers. I Googled such, and couldn't confirm it. Although this doesn't sound like something Microsoft would EVER offer, I thought I would ask if anyone has heard otherwise. I know Microsoft has rewritten the license agreement for vista several times before it's consumer release in two weeks.

Furthermore, for those of you that may be beta testing (My PC wouldn't run it) is there still activation with Vista? I have a corporate copy of Windows XP (through a volume licensing agreement with my employer) which doesn't require activation. Is there a version of Vista like that?

Thanks.

Also,

I heard that the OEM version of Vista is half the price of retail.

Is there anywhere you can legally Buy OEM Software (I know the deal about OEM software, I'm just asking)

That's right; Mac OSX comes in two editions: Server, and Standard. Both are cheaper, better, and use less resources than their copying Windows counterparts. After all, Vista requires 512 MB of RAM just to boot. Aero, sorry Expose works on even Mac G3's.
