What error do you get when trying to get into the WebMail interface? Also, can you give me either your domain name or mailserver name so I can take a look at that server in particular? Thanks!

We're still tinkering with getting flashcomm set on a test server for testing purposes. Then there will be an initial test period where we'll work out the security kinks and what not.

I honestly don't see what's so bad about the webmail interface... It's Imail (http://ipswitch.com) and offers alot of flexibility AND control from our end as well as yours. It's a commercial product so when we run into snags that we just can't figure out we have support on said product also.

well it is very ugly for 1 and when u cant get into your mail with a t2 line its not very functional.
as much as i hate php i guess i got spoiled on squirrel mail
i just opened it up on an old email with over 13000 emails with no problem yet i cant get into mine on here with 4 emails in it
ipswitch has never really been a very good product
and its not very well laid out, especially when im on phone with a client trying to work them through adding emails
maybe im on crack but i think the system sux, lol

Hey Dave,

We're actually working on a plan to audit and optimize our mail servers in the near future. We hope once we have completed this process everyone should see a huge jump in the performance of the mail servers from where they are now.

In the meantime there is always using pop to download your messages locally and read them there!

With that many emails, have you considered using some sort of spam filtering? We offer several different solutions for this, and I'd be happy to work with you in order to find something that allows you to weed out most (if not all) of your spam.

One thing to watch out for is running MS Outlook or a similar email client and trying to access the Webmail interface at the same time. If more than one application is trying to access your inbox, you'll recieve that error.

Yes, one drawback of webmail is that it isn't 100% compatible with browsers other than IE and Netscape. On some occasions a virus attached to an email will cause a fatal error in the webmail application when IE attempts to display your Inbox. This isn't true for Netscape, for some reason, so I've always recommended it as a better browser for Webmail.

Another technician is working on flash comm - I've got zero experience with it so I opted to let a CF tech do the testing. It's on a non-production server right now, so that's one step closer. I'll email the tech in question and see what's going on.
