I just wanted to share my recent support experiences.

I was having trouble with a cgi program. It kept telling me I had permissions set wrong. So naturally I emailed support to ask them to check my permission settings for the directory my program was complaining about.

After Cheryl on the HostMySite support team checked the permissions and found them to be correctly set, she actually looked into my cgi script and found a URL setting that needed to be changed. She fixed my script and it works like a charm.

Kudos to the support team, especially Cheryl! Cool

I also must say support from HostMySite is awesome... few, if any, companies meet their standards. As much as I appreciate it, and as much as I subscribe to great customer service, I doubt if I could run a company to match it. I donno, maybe we in Arizona have a shorter fuse. Very Happy Anyway, great job you guys Exclamation

I daresay I'm good friends with the owner of ackits.com, which is based out of Arizona, and he's happy with the level of support I provide - especially when I fix issues not directly related to his hosting, such as the spell check component of his forums ... Laughing

A check spell component on a forum? You're joshing... ain't ya? If it did exist, many wouldn't use it... otherwise to admit being un-cool. You've seen the way people write in chat-rooms, and if you ever spell anything right... nobody wants to talk to you anymore. Like a leper, you're ignored. Daily we bear witness to growing list of dummkopfs. Smile Besides that Jamie, since we in Arizona don't speak French... the usage of the term 'suave and de-boner' is officially sanctioned (rurally, that is). There is something sissified about 'debonair'.

I am new to hostmysite after switching from AIT, Inc. last Friday. I must say that so far I've never had a better experience with technical support on any product than at hostmysite. It's nice to be able to submit an issue and not get a lot of attitude, just a quick response and the feeling that they actually want to help me and my business succeed. Keep up the good work guys!

PS: Jamie and his crew broke the spell check program as much as they fixed it! Very Happy

Interestingly enough our forums get ranked really high in Google...can't count the number of times I've done a search on some random ColdFusion problem and had Google point me back to our own site!
