All,
I have installed and been using CF_AutoResize for quite some time. While this tag does what I need it to do (create thumbnails), the resized image quality is poor. I noticed HMS has other CFX tags in use... any recommendation on one that creates good quality resized images??? JPEGResizer? Thanks in advance, Jason |

Jason,
As always, pay attention to the quality of the pic before you resize it - this will have more effect than anything else. If, however, you're simply looking for an alternate, I can't suggest anything specific - but if you find something that you like give us the link to it (via an email to support@hostmysite.com) and we'll review and probably install it. |

I find that "cfx_pwimageproc" which can be found at developer.perthweb.com.au/imageproc.html (there is no "www." in the url) is an excellent tag that does not degrade the quality like other images.

We have a client that just switched to CFX_ImageCR and is very pleased with it.
http://efflare.com/products/cfx_imagecr/ This is being used on a high-end dedicated server cluster and is performing very well. He was previously using an obsolete tag that was crashing CF. Since converting, the site has been incredibly smooth and performance has been excellent. If you were interested in purchasing a license, we could install this in a shared environment for you. |
