I am very happy about the new updates, but I was wondering about two things:
1). How come I can't have both Ruby On Rails and Coldfusion? 2). When qwill windows be updated, because Windows as well as a bunch of higher level planbs are almost obsolete. (compared to lower level plans) |

One thing to note about HostMySite is that we take great care to ensure the stability of our servers. Many hosting companies like to 'wow' customers with a lot of technology, but we take extensive measures to be sure that we offer the most stable solution possible. So the official word (after a lot of testing) is...
"Both are resource-intensive technologies, and we don't want to overload servers by allowing both to be used. ... we want to ensure the stability of the sites." Our recommendation is to get two plans (at $8.95/month for 20GB you can't go wrong), and use subdomains to separate the sites. Hey, it's better then having no-sites because CF and Ruby had an arguement on the server. |

I definetly can understand about conflicting technologies, and paying 9 extra a month is nothing, however my only two concerns:
a). The ability for programs in Ruby and CF to modify the same filesystem b). You have CF and Asp.net on the same server for windows. Don't they conflict too? |
