I see that you guys use smaertermail. I checked their website and it says they support alternate ports.
I'm wondering if hms has it's servers set up that way? Would be helpful in a couple of instances. 1) Our DSL lines comes with free earthlink Dialup for traveling but they block port 25 so no ourgoing mail through earthlink without changing to their server. 2) we work at client sites which allow us access to their LAN/broadband but they block the usual email ports so no email at all allowed.
Currently we use webmail to get around that in those situations but being able to use a full featured email client would be preferred if possible.

Yes, we have port 50 open for those who have port 25 blocked. Otherwise you'll need port 110 open to receive mail (unless you would like to upgrade to one of our premium mail servers, which supports IMAP...incoming and outgoing mail work on port 143).

moved our sites here. You guys ROCK.
Using the premium email. It rocks!
quick question- alternate smtp port works great for outbound. But I still have the problem gettting IMAP port blocked at certain worksites. Is there an alternate IMAP port? Is there maybe a secure imap port- 993 perhaps?
