Recently I have noticed some unusual things happening with my ASPMail forms on several of my web sites.
1)Form submissions are mailed with no form fields having been completed. This is in spite of client side validation which should not allow such submissions.
2)Multiple copies of forms are received from valid submissions.
3)Form results which should come to my web mail (also hosted by HostMySite.com) are being filtered with the following message:
Subject: Message you sent blocked by our bulk email filter

Below is a breakdown of why this message was blocked. You'll notice the block threshold is 4.8 while your message was 5.62. The biggest component that your message failed was an invalid date in the header:

X-Barracuda-Spam-Status: Yes, SCORE=5.62 using global scores of TAG_LEVEL=1000.0 QUARANTINE_LEVEL=1000.0 KILL_LEVEL=4.8 tests=HTML_10_20, HTML_MIME_NO_HTML_TAG, HTML_SHORT_LENGTH, INVALID_DATE, INVALID_DATE_2, MIME_HTML_ONLY, MISSING_MIMEOLE, MSGID_FROM_MTA_ID

0.10 HTML_MIME_NO_HTML_TAG HTML-only message, but there is no HTML tag
1.76 INVALID_DATE_2 Invalid Date: header (not RFC 2822)
1.39 MISSING_MIMEOLE Message has X-MSMail-Priority, but no

I'm guessing these form results that are being blocked are some of the "blank" ones. Has anyone else seen these types of occurrences? If so, do you have suggestions for preventing them?

We've added text there that tells you how to lower your score on our outbound filters. I'm still working on the Date portion of this, but the link shows you how to avoid the MIME-OLE weight, which is pretty heavy.

Hi,

We are also experiencing a situation where multiple copies of emails that we forward are being received.

This appears to happen only when the recipient of the forward is a user on HostMySite. So we suspect that there is something at the HostMySite mail server level that is not acknowledging the receipt of the email, so the email client sends it again and again.

Has this been resolved for you?

Thanks,
Mark
This brought my spam score down from 5.2 to 3.0 in ASPMail
