In your daily work, you often need new or better software tools to complete your tasks.
InterAKT Online, a web development company building Dreamweaver extensions, is trying to understand your current workflow and needs when designing websites.

They are conducting an online survey, in order to provide you the best tools to simplify web development. It takes 10 minutes to answer the four survey steps, and in the end you can win one of the three iPod nano players.

We hope to see your name on the winners list.

While I normally frown on forum spamming, I actually do like this company's products so I'll leave it to another admin to delete the post if they feel the need.
Thanks for the suport

Hi Jamie,

First of all I would like to thank you for the support.

Second, I would like to explain things a bit, so that we are not considered spam. We are not trying to sell anything, and the survey will not redirect you in any way to our commercial products.

It is not a means of harvesting e-mail addresses and we will not use your address for anything else but the competition for the iPod. It is entirely up to you if you want to register for news on the InterAKT website, but we will not force you in any way.

We are only looking for some designers to help us out, and all we need is 10 minutes of your time. I hope that we did not offend anybody by posting this here. We do intend to follow the forum and offer our support in here as much as we can.

Thanks again for the thumbs up.

Sorry, I jumped to a conclusion there - a lot of marketers will sign up for a forum and simply toss in a few advertising posts then ne'er be seen again. Since you're following this thread it doesn't seem that this applies to you, so you have my apologies.

BUT since I have you here, how about a Q and A? I seem to remember you having a free Dreamweaver component for making menu trees. I was trying to use it some time ago and ran into problems with the dynamic database query version because my remote CF Server had RDS disabled, as most shared hosts do.

Do you know how to get around this to make full use of the component?

Hi Jamie,

Maybe this technote will help you:
http://livedocs.macromedia.com/coldfusion/6.1/htmldocs/config22.htm

However, you might not have the ability to disable RDS if you're using a shared hosting service.

You can try the static version, though - it doesn't need a database connection, but you have to enter all links manually.

Regards,
Marius
