hey gys got a networkign question... Want to know if this is possible...
Right now I have a hub, and I am paying like an extra $5.00 a month for an extra connection. SO I have 2 internext connections coming in to the hub. But to get another connection is like 15-20$ and I dont need the 3rd. I like having 2 connections for good speeds...
So I want to get a router. Now on the router, I want 3 connections... I want the 2 IP's the compay is giving to me. I want 1 of those IP's to go to one computer. I then want the other IP to be split into 2 more IP's (for 2 other computers)... So basically with the router I want to have 1 full connection to one computer... the other full connection split into 2 to go to 2 computers....
So cable comes in from modem, to router, splits from router to 3 PC's.. 1 getting a full connection.. the other 2 splitting...
Any ideas?

Oh although it has been quite some time that you placed this question I think by now you might have got your answers and if so please let me know the same by posting a reply here. Actually I am also trying to implement the same idea as you have depicted here but till date have not found a suitable answer for the same. So please help if you can.

Are there 2 physical connections? Can you just hook up one physical connection to the PC you want using the dedicated connection then just hook the second one up to the router/hub to share?
