I think if I were to add the number of seconds lost because I accidentally hit caps lock, I would have spent a couple of hours. Is there a good way to disable the caps lock button on my keyboard?

I want to try to see what its like with it disabled. I don't think it will bother me a bit.

You could always pull it up with a flathead screwdriver. Laughing

Since this is a thread about random annoyances. CTRL+W is the search key for nano. A lot of times when I'm doing work, I'll accidentally try to use CTRL+W in firefox as well. D'oh!

(CTRL+W in firefox closes an open window).

My worst is hitting CTRL-S in PICO while editing a file on linux. CTRL-S is SAVE in most progs, but there it's SUSPEND and I never remember how to unsuspend!

Try typing fg - that brings the current suspended program back into the foreground for you to use it.

I'm use to a Mac keyboard (have a Mac at home) I'd like to switch ATL and CTRL on my work keyboard... it's annoying.

A lot of the SUN keyboards switch the Ctrl and Caps Lock which is incredibly annoying as well.
